Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Banking & Financials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 13.64% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 7.14% or 0.015 points to end at 0.225 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 6.90% or 0.080 points to 1.240 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 2.06% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.950 in late trade. Edegel (LM:EDE) declined 1.32% or 0.050 points to end at 3.750 and Edelnor (LM:EDN) shed 1.08% or 0.060 points to 5.500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $59.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.32% or 0.21 to hit $66.92 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1224.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.23% to 3.1480, while EUR/PEN fell 0.75% to 3.5763.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 93.32.
