Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, Electricity and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General declined 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 1.73% or 0.040 points to trade at 2.350 at the close. Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 1.67% or 0.100 points to end at 6.100 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 1.59% or 0.350 points to 22.350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 6.67% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.140 in late trade. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 5.10% or 0.100 points to end at 1.860 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) shed 4.44% or 0.200 points to 4.300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 5 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.84% or 0.48 to $57.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $63.45 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.67% or 8.10 to trade at $1195.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.51% to 3.1100, while EUR/PEN fell 0.73% to 3.3544.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.55% at 98.16.
