Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 2.21% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.770 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 1.30% or 0.00 points to end at 0.08 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 0.81% or 0.110 points to 13.640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which lost 15.00% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.0510 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 5.08% or 0.030 points to end at 0.560 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) shed 5.06% or 0.021 points to 0.394.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 7 and 15 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.45% or 0.97 to $67.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.25% or 0.90 to hit $72.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1219.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.37% to 3.2805, while EUR/PEN fell 1.14% to 3.7383.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.76% at 96.19.
