Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 1.14% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.445 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 0.47% or 0.020 points to end at 4.230 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 0.43% or 0.050 points to 11.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 8.84% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.196 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 2.79% or 0.070 points to end at 2.440 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 1.59% or 0.010 points to 0.620.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 9 to 5 and 18 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.85% or 0.59 to $69.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.24% or 0.18 to hit $74.36 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1222.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.07% to 3.2706, while EUR/PEN fell 0.11% to 3.8133.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.47.
