Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 3.03% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.680 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 2.04% or 0.040 points to end at 2.000 and Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) was up 1.70% or 0.100 points to 6.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which lost 16.26% or 0.033 points to trade at 0.170 in late trade. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) declined 8.33% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.1100 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) shed 7.00% or 0.01 points to 0.09.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 12 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.65% or 0.38 to $57.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.62% or 0.39 to hit $62.99 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1293.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.15% to 3.2325, while EUR/PEN fell 0.42% to 3.8397.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 93.16.
