Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Edegel (LM:EDE), which rose 4.54% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.840 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) added 4.17% or 0.040 points to end at 1.000 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 3.70% or 0.010 points to 0.280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 3.26% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.890 in late trade. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) declined 3.08% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.0630 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 2.70% or 0.020 points to 0.720.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 13 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.18% or 0.84 to $70.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.62% or 0.48 to hit $76.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 4.10 to trade at $1318.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.24% to 3.2630, while EUR/PEN rose 0.13% to 3.9014.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 92.44.
