Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Credicorp (LM:BAP), which rose 5.71% or 8.410 points to trade at 155.700 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 2.12% or 0.120 points to end at 5.770 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 0.81% or 0.250 points to 31.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 3.64% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.106 in late trade. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) declined 2.78% or 0.500 points to end at 17.500 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) shed 2.71% or 0.350 points to 12.570.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.23% or 0.55 to $44.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.70% or 0.79 to hit $45.56 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.50 to trade at $1305.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.33% to 3.3885, while EUR/PEN fell 0.05% to 3.7514.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 96.94.
