Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Banking & Financials and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which rose 16.13% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.720 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 7.69% or 0.020 points to end at 0.280 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 6.78% or 0.040 points to 0.630 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferreyros (LM:FER), which lost 2.53% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.540 in late trade. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 1.94% or 0.150 points to end at 7.600 and Unacem (LM:CEL) shed 1.85% or 0.050 points to 2.650.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 4.67% or 1.99 to $44.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $46.13 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1244.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2820, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7133.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 94.45.
