Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.09 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 3.23% or 0.005 points to end at 0.160 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 1.88% or 0.210 points to 11.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Relapasa (LM:REL), which lost 4.11% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.210 in late trade. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) declined 2.80% or 0.700 points to end at 24.300 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) shed 2.69% or 0.005 points to 0.181.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 15 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.76% or 0.43 to $57.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.34% or 0.83 to hit $62.89 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1188.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.11% to 3.1580, while EUR/PEN rose 0.32% to 3.4409.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 97.13.
