Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Agriculture and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General added 0.98% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 6.25% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.170 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 4.12% or 0.210 points to end at 5.310 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was up 3.81% or 0.090 points to 2.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minsur (LM:MINi), which lost 2.96% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.310 in late trade. Edelnor (LM:EDN) declined 1.09% or 0.060 points to end at 5.500 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) shed 0.79% or 0.040 points to 5.050.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.89% or 1.10 to $59.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.33% or 0.88 to hit $66.72 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.24% or 27.10 to trade at $1182.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.04% to 3.1258, while EUR/PEN rose 1.61% to 3.4927.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.46% at 94.87.
