Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 6.00% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.1060 at the close. Compania Minera Milpo SAA Class I (LM:MILi) added 3.23% or 0.100 points to end at 3.200 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was up 2.78% or 0.050 points to 1.850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 3.09% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.470 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 3.01% or 0.009 points to end at 0.290 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) shed 2.78% or 0.020 points to 0.700.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.63% or 0.38 to $59.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.93% or 0.62 to hit $65.84 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.40 to trade at $1291.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2405, while EUR/PEN rose 0.41% to 3.8594.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 92.64.
