Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Alicorp (LM:ALI), which rose 7.53% or 0.770 points to trade at 11.000 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 4.84% or 0.030 points to end at 0.650 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 2.92% or 0.040 points to 1.410 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 6.82% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.230 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 5.56% or 0.010 points to end at 0.170 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 1.85% or 0.010 points to 0.530.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 8 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.46% or 2.28 to $68.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $74.93 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1202.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.47% to 3.2840, while EUR/PEN fell 0.20% to 3.8064.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 95.00.
