Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Media and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 3.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 1.73% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.53 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 65.50 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 1.19% or 0.07 points to 5.81 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which lost 11.49% or 1.0 points to trade at 7.7 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 9.09% or 31.2 points to end at 312.0 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) shed 8.10% or 2.80 points to 31.78.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 147 to 26 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 4.39% or 2.20 to $47.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 4.46% or 2.27 to hit $48.64 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 4.68% or 59.15 to trade at $1322.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.16% to 9.4005, while USD/NOK rose 3.48% to 8.4456.
The US Dollar Index was up 2.33% at 95.50.
