Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Energy and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which rose 3.21% or 1.55 points to trade at 49.85 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) added 0.78% or 0.20 points to end at 25.70 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was up 0.43% or 0.14 points to 32.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which lost 9.86% or 0.16 points to trade at 1.50 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) declined 6.64% or 4.0 points to end at 56.9 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) shed 4.17% or 15.0 points to 344.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 56 and 6 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.39% or 1.59 to $45.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.09% or 1.02 to hit $48.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.78% or 19.90 to trade at $1136.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.11% to 9.2346, while USD/NOK rose 0.63% to 8.1291.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 94.92.
