Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Commercial Service And Supplies and Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which rose 1.48% or 0.2 points to trade at 13.7 at the close. Orkla ASA (OSLO:ORK) added 1.46% or 0.90 points to end at 62.50 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) was up 0.65% or 0.24 points to 37.43 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG), which lost 4.40% or 2.75 points to trade at 59.75 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) declined 3.89% or 1.90 points to end at 47.00 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) shed 3.81% or 2.40 points to 60.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 140 to 36 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.15% or 1.83 to $59.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.20% or 2.00 to hit $64.69 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.90 to trade at $1177.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.70% to 8.7602, while USD/NOK fell 0.69% to 7.7603.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 95.10.
