Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Auto & components and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC), which rose 2.33% or 7.4 points to trade at 325.3 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB) added 2.08% or 0.61 points to end at 29.90 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) was up 1.67% or 10.0 points to 610.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which lost 4.80% or 2.37 points to trade at 47.00 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) declined 3.62% or 0.40 points to end at 10.65 and Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) shed 3.42% or 2.20 points to 62.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 118 to 56 and 4 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.46% or 1.47 to $58.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.59% or 1.66 to hit $62.15 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.92% or 10.90 to trade at $1174.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.21% to 8.7291, while USD/NOK fell 0.12% to 7.7485.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.41.
