Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Energy and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 3.88% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.26 at the close. Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 1.63% or 7.3 points to end at 454.9 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was up 0.76% or 1.50 points to 198.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which lost 4.34% or 1.79 points to trade at 39.48 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.82% or 0.7 points to end at 16.9 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 3.07% or 0.77 points to 24.32.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 77 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.56% or 0.85 to $53.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.64% or 0.93 to hit $55.73 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.45 to trade at $1233.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 8.8324, while USD/NOK rose 0.12% to 8.3715.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 101.41.
