Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Diversified Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 2.81% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.13 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 2.00% or 3.5 points to end at 178.1 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was up 1.65% or 2.70 points to 166.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 4.31% or 1.31 points to trade at 29.09 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 2.54% or 0.8 points to end at 30.7 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 2.09% or 0.88 points to 41.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 74 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.45% or 0.77 to $52.21 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.08% or 0.60 to hit $55.12 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.55% or 6.35 to trade at $1165.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.69% to 9.0145, while USD/NOK rose 0.42% to 8.4611.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 100.86.
