Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Commercial Service And Supplies and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 5.31% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.19 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 3.73% or 7.0 points to end at 194.5 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was up 3.42% or 6.00 points to 181.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.25% or 1.4 points to trade at 32.5 in late trade. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 3.91% or 2.55 points to end at 62.70 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) shed 1.75% or 2.3 points to 128.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 82 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $52.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.29% or 0.16 to hit $55.05 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.44% or 4.95 to trade at $1142.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.0436, while USD/NOK fell 0.21% to 8.6605.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 102.74.
