Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which rose 3.29% or 1.9 points to trade at 61.2 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 2.88% or 2.7 points to end at 96.4 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was up 1.84% or 0.88 points to 48.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which lost 4.28% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.61 in late trade. Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB) declined 2.15% or 0.60 points to end at 27.30 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) shed 1.26% or 0.41 points to 32.03.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 81 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.00% or 0.60 to $59.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.27% or 0.83 to hit $64.72 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.40% or 4.80 to trade at $1194.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.76% to 8.6902, while USD/NOK rose 2.46% to 7.9628.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.69% at 97.61.
