Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.03% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 9.65% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.40 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) added 4.83% or 1.40 points to end at 30.40 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was up 4.03% or 1.5 points to 37.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which lost 3.62% or 2.4 points to trade at 63.9 in late trade. Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) declined 2.77% or 0.89 points to end at 31.19 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) shed 1.73% or 0.64 points to 36.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 82 and 2 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.26% or 0.11 to $43.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $49.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.47% or 5.20 to trade at $1117.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.81% to 9.0765, while USD/NOK fell 0.46% to 8.1946.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 96.82.
