Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which rose 3.38% or 1.9 points to trade at 59.6 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) added 2.60% or 1.35 points to end at 53.35 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was up 1.84% or 0.20 points to 11.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC), which lost 1.00% or 3.1 points to trade at 306.9 in late trade. Orkla ASA (OSLO:ORK) declined 0.88% or 0.55 points to end at 61.95 and DnB ASA (OSLO:DNB) shed 0.81% or 1.1 points to 134.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 86 and 4 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.68% or 0.41 to $60.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $65.08 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.82% or 9.70 to trade at $1187.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.04% to 8.7822, while USD/NOK fell 0.21% to 7.7652.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.49% at 94.70.
