Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 4.69% or 4.50 points to trade at 100.50 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) added 2.69% or 6.80 points to end at 259.70 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.39% or 13.00 points to 558.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which lost 2.01% or 1.38 points to trade at 67.32 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 1.76% or 2.40 points to end at 133.60 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) shed 1.57% or 1.56 points to 97.64.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 149 to 119 and 35 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.94% or 2.76 to $72.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.57% or 2.64 to hit $76.54 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.75 to trade at $2,671.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.26% to 11.70, while USD/NOK rose 0.60% to 10.62.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 101.79.
