Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Energy and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 3.64% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which rose 14.85% or 11.2 points to trade at 86.2 at the close. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) added 12.20% or 1.24 points to end at 11.40 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was up 9.27% or 3.70 points to 43.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which lost 1.58% or 10.5 points to trade at 655.5 in late trade. Schibsted ASA (OSLO:SBST) declined 1.00% or 4.7 points to end at 464.3 and Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) shed 0.23% or 0.15 points to 65.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 124 to 48 and 7 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.01% or 1.05 to $53.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.82% or 0.47 to hit $58.59 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.70 to trade at $1211.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.73% to 8.7568, while USD/NOK rose 1.40% to 8.0709.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 97.92.
