Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 17.20% or 2.3 points to trade at 15.7 at the close. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 3.65% or 5.0 points to end at 141.9 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 2.59% or 0.03 points to 1.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which lost 0.78% or 1.5 points to trade at 191.6 in late trade. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 0.13% or 0.20 points to end at 153.20 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) gained 0.18% or 0.10 points to 55.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 70 and 33 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.47% or 0.25 to $53.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.51% or 0.29 to hit $56.85 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.85 to trade at $1222.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.26% to 8.8552, while USD/NOK fell 0.58% to 8.2050.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 99.58.
