Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 11.51% or 1.33 points to trade at 12.89 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 5.09% or 2.07 points to end at 42.72 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 5.00% or 1.05 points to 22.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 2.23% or 5.6 points to trade at 245.8 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 1.19% or 2.30 points to end at 190.50 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 0.60% or 1.70 points to 283.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 107 to 66 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.95% or 0.93 to $48.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.87% or 0.95 to hit $51.85 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1254.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 9.2106, while USD/NOK fell 0.01% to 8.4880.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 99.14.
