Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Energy, Telecoms and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.92% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 22.13% or 5.9 points to trade at 32.5 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) added 4.77% or 3.00 points to end at 65.90 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 2.25% or 2.4 points to 109.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.26% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.15 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 1.60% or 0.69 points to end at 42.36 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) shed 0.84% or 1.20 points to 141.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 110 to 64 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.20% or 0.61 to $51.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.43% or 0.23 to hit $54.12 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.84% or 9.85 to trade at $1162.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.38% to 8.9840, while USD/NOK rose 1.08% to 8.5229.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 101.68.
