Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Diversified Financials and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.08% or 1.43 points to trade at 29.60 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 4.41% or 1.3 points to end at 31.0 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 3.28% or 1.18 points to 37.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 1.48% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.20 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 0.91% or 2.6 points to end at 283.4 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) shed 0.15% or 0.2 points to 129.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 121 to 62 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.58% or 0.84 to $53.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.43% or 0.80 to hit $56.70 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.25 to trade at $1137.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.19% to 9.1081, while USD/NOK rose 0.16% to 8.7099.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 103.03.
