Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Energy and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 8.44% or 2.96 points to trade at 38.05 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 5.92% or 17.2 points to end at 307.5 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 4.43% or 0.65 points to 15.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG), which lost 0.74% or 0.4 points to trade at 56.1 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 0.36% or 0.25 points to end at 69.30 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 0.34% or 0.6 points to 174.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 119 to 60 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.53% or 0.39 to $73.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.97% or 0.75 to hit $77.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.70 to trade at $1261.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.20% to 9.4144, while USD/NOK fell 0.24% to 8.0129.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 93.83.
