Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Capital Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.50% or 3.55 points to trade at 68.05 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 5.42% or 0.48 points to end at 9.34 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 3.35% or 5.7 points to 174.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which lost 2.49% or 1.80 points to trade at 70.60 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 1.72% or 3.5 points to end at 200.0 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 1.55% or 5.4 points to 343.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 126 to 53 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.06% or 0.63 to $59.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.65% or 0.41 to hit $63.20 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 10.70 to trade at $1326.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.32% to 9.7234, while USD/NOK fell 0.42% to 7.9287.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 90.19.
