Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Energy, Diversified Financials and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 6.50% or 2.25 points to trade at 36.89 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 5.86% or 3.12 points to end at 56.32 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 4.75% or 5.8 points to 126.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 1.75% or 4.80 points to trade at 269.20 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 1.20% or 0.01 points to end at 0.98 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 1.18% or 4.0 points to 337.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 115 to 71 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 4.52% or 2.96 to $68.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.51% or 1.83 to hit $74.88 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1270.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.12% to 9.4416, while USD/NOK fell 0.17% to 8.1133.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.35.
