Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Materials and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 6.37% or 0.95 points to trade at 15.87 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 4.17% or 2.45 points to end at 61.15 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 3.71% or 0.34 points to 9.51 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 3.71% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.32 in late trade. Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) declined 2.77% or 2.35 points to end at 82.45 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 1.83% or 3.2 points to 171.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 72 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.29% or 0.17 to $58.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.20% or 0.13 to hit $64.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1270.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.32% to 9.9518, while USD/NOK fell 0.31% to 8.3844.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 92.89.
