Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 2.51% or 4.0 points to trade at 161.3 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 2.11% or 6.00 points to end at 290.40 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.09% or 6.7 points to 327.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 0.72% or 1.70 points to trade at 235.30 in late trade. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) declined 0.50% or 0.3 points to end at 59.3 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) shed 0.17% or 0.2 points to 121.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 55 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.43% or 0.30 to $69.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1225.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.5412, while USD/NOK unchanged 0.00% to 8.1897.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 94.48.
