Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Energy and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 3.60% or 9.60 points to trade at 276.40 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 3.20% or 13.20 points to end at 426.00 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 3.11% or 2.1 points to 68.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 14.60% or 20.60 points to trade at 120.45 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 0.95% or 2.9 points to end at 303.9 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) shed 0.67% or 1.0 points to 149.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 75 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.79% or 1.45 to $53.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.61% or 1.56 to hit $61.37 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.45 to trade at $1308.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.7157, while USD/NOK fell 0.09% to 8.5031.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.488.
