Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media, Materials and Capital Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 3.63% or 6.9 points to trade at 223.2 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 3.38% or 8.0 points to end at 245.6 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 3.28% or 1.90 points to 59.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which lost 3.64% or 3.10 points to trade at 82.00 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 0.85% or 0.01 points to end at 1.05 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 0.58% or 0.90 points to 155.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 119 to 66 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.56% or 0.31 to $55.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.94% or 0.58 to hit $61.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1280.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.54% to 9.6694, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 8.2136.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.78.
