Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 6.13% or 0.33 points to trade at 5.71 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 3.03% or 17.50 points to end at 595.00 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) was up 2.56% or 3.10 points to 124.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 1.26% or 3.70 points to trade at 290.80 in late trade. Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) declined 0.43% or 0.55 points to end at 126.85 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) shed 0.16% or 0.40 points to 246.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 224 to 63 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.30% or 0.95 to $73.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.04% or 0.79 to hit $77.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 16.10 to trade at $2,428.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 1.14% to 11.93, while USD/NOK fell 0.91% to 10.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 102.71.
