Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Insurance and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.67% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 6.44% or 2.13 points to trade at 35.18 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 4.13% or 2.65 points to end at 66.85 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.66% or 0.95 points to 58.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which lost 1.48% or 1.20 points to trade at 79.65 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 1.44% or 3.20 points to end at 218.70 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 1.20% or 4.30 points to 355.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 73 and 35 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.44% or 0.23 to $52.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.64% or 0.37 to hit $57.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 12.63 to trade at $1289.07 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.36% to 9.3417, while USD/NOK rose 0.76% to 7.9534.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 93.20.
