Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which rose 3.60% or 4.80 points to trade at 138.30 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) added 3.01% or 0.18 points to end at 6.08 and PGS ASA (OL:PGS) was up 2.20% or 0.18 points to 8.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which lost 0.90% or 1.30 points to trade at 143.20 in late trade. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 0.34% or 0.70 points to end at 207.50 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) shed 0.11% or 0.02 points to 13.96.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 149 to 132 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.09% or 0.87 to $80.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.00% or 0.84 to hit $85.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 8.90 to trade at $2,337.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.53% to 11.39, while USD/NOK fell 0.48% to 10.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 104.93.
