Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.58% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which rose 7.36% or 12.20 points to trade at 178.00 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) added 3.92% or 5.90 points to end at 156.60 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was up 3.76% or 0.12 points to 3.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which lost 1.63% or 0.18 points to trade at 10.84 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 1.19% or 6.50 points to end at 541.00 and Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) shed 1.11% or 0.42 points to 37.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 143 to 126 and 35 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.98% or 0.72 to $74.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.00% or 0.76 to hit $77.06 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 13.89 to trade at $2,661.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 11.74, while USD/NOK rose 0.31% to 11.32.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 108.26.
