Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 2.34% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.60 at the close. TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 2.23% or 2.80 points to end at 128.20 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) was up 2.04% or 2.85 points to 142.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which lost 1.16% or 1.50 points to trade at 127.40 in late trade. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) declined 0.23% or 0.20 points to end at 86.75 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) shed 0.14% or 0.25 points to 177.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 178 to 100 and 35 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.50% or 0.41 to $81.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.45% or 0.38 to hit $84.88 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.20 to trade at $2,336.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.13% to 11.41, while USD/NOK rose 0.25% to 10.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 105.51.
