Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 2.40% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.28 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 1.92% or 1.30 points to end at 69.00 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 1.85% or 2.50 points to 137.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which lost 2.78% or 15.50 points to trade at 542.50 in late trade. Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) declined 1.91% or 5.05 points to end at 259.00 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR) shed 1.39% or 0.64 points to 45.24.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 138 to 137 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.47% or 1.02 to $70.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.39% or 1.01 to hit $73.82 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.40 to trade at $2,754.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 11.98, while USD/NOK rose 0.50% to 11.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.08.
