Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Utilities and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.23% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 5.00% or 4.00 points to trade at 84.00 at the close. Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) added 4.18% or 5.8 points to end at 144.4 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 1.64% or 3.8 points to 235.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 8.88% or 0.97 points to trade at 9.95 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.62% or 0.87 points to end at 17.96 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) shed 3.24% or 1.19 points to 35.52.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 67 and 32 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.84% or 1.47 to $50.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.88% or 1.07 to hit $55.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.54% or 6.94 to trade at $1277.86 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 9.3931, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 7.9973.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 93.40.
