Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR), which rose 8.66% or 3.18 points to trade at 39.92 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) added 3.42% or 7.50 points to end at 227.10 and Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) was up 2.54% or 6.60 points to 266.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG), which lost 4.74% or 63.00 points to trade at 1,267.00 in late trade. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 2.13% or 3.30 points to end at 151.90 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) shed 1.36% or 2.35 points to 170.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 146 to 135 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.07% or 1.39 to $68.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.79% or 1.27 to hit $72.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 30.81 to trade at $2,690.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.32% to 11.74, while USD/NOK fell 0.56% to 11.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 105.48.
