Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 5.84% or 0.17 points to trade at 3.03 at the close. Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) added 2.10% or 2.08 points to end at 101.00 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) was up 1.90% or 2.90 points to 155.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR), which lost 1.53% or 4.15 points to trade at 267.10 in late trade. Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR) declined 1.48% or 0.60 points to end at 39.88 and TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) shed 1.44% or 1.60 points to 109.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 187 to 100 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.11% or 0.08 to $69.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $73.55 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 12.04 to trade at $2,679.94 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was unchanged 0.01% to 11.63, while USD/NOK fell 0.05% to 11.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 106.21.
