Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Insurance and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.64% or 3.40 points to trade at 132.15 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 2.56% or 1.10 points to end at 44.10 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was up 2.20% or 3.2 points to 148.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which lost 2.49% or 11.00 points to trade at 430.00 in late trade. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 2.26% or 1.04 points to end at 44.94 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) shed 1.42% or 1.4 points to 94.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 82 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.84% or 0.99 to $54.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.24% or 1.36 to hit $62.20 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.45 to trade at $1321.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.32% to 9.6774, while USD/NOK rose 0.03% to 8.4325.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 95.227.
