Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Altice NV (AS:ATCA), which rose 1.15% or 0.04 points to trade at 3.36 at the close. Heineken (AS:HEIN) added 0.90% or 0.78 points to end at 87.40 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was up 0.89% or 0.32 points to 36.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included NN Group NV (AS:NN), which lost 1.45% or 0.54 points to trade at 36.64 in late trade. ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) declined 1.20% or 0.28 points to end at 23.08 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) shed 1.20% or 1.040 points to 85.920.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 67 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.63% to 11.84.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.48% or 0.32 to $66.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.10% or 0.08 to hit $76.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.40 to trade at $1300.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1779, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 93.58.
