Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.16% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 2.68% or 2.160 points to trade at 82.660 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) added 1.60% or 0.59 points to end at 37.74 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was up 0.87% or 0.019 points to 2.209 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which lost 3.44% or 0.396 points to trade at 11.100 in late trade. Philips Lighting NV (AS:LIGHT) declined 2.73% or 0.66 points to end at 23.50 and Relx NV (AS:RELN) shed 1.31% or 0.245 points to 18.440.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 78 to 52 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.92% to 14.95.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.80% or 0.54 to $67.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.43% or 0.33 to hit $76.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1201.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.1559, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 95.35.
