Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which rose 1.20% or 1.25 points to trade at 105.05 at the close. Relx PLC (AS:REL) added 0.77% or 0.34 points to end at 44.78 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was up 0.40% or 0.28 points to 70.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which lost 2.39% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.59 in late trade. Prosus (AS:PRX) declined 1.78% or 0.74 points to end at 40.51 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) shed 1.26% or 0.55 points to 43.04.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 63 to 32 and 12 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.80% or 0.55 to $68.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.61% or 0.44 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.17% or 31.51 to trade at $2,717.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.45% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 106.19.
