Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Food Producers sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were DSM Kon (AMS:DSMN), which rose 4.53% or 2.31 points to trade at 53.34 at the close. Altice SA (AMS:ATCE) added 2.10% or 2.35 points to end at 114.40 and KPN Kon (AMS:KPN) was up 1.92% or 0.064 points to 3.396 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Royal Dutch Shell A (AMS:RDSa), which lost 1.59% or 0.45 points to trade at 27.59 in late trade. OCI (AMS:OCI) declined 0.77% or 0.205 points to end at 26.590 and Unilever NV (AMS:UNc) shed 0.75% or 0.29 points to 38.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 145 to 102 and 2 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 4.90% to 18.08.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.58% or 0.35 to $59.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $66.66 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1223.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1418, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.7245.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 93.44.
