Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 1.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL), which rose 4.13% or 1.80 points to trade at 45.37 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) added 3.23% or 3.16 points to end at 101.10 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 2.11% or 0.90 points to 43.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which lost 0.50% or 0.55 points to trade at 108.55 in late trade. Heineken (AS:HEIN) declined 0.24% or 0.18 points to end at 75.32 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) 0.00% or 0.00 points to 22.68.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 40 and 6 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.95% or 0.66 to $69.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.92% or 0.67 to hit $73.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.35 to trade at $2,751.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.09.
